Diff’rent Strokes Actor Gary Coleman Dead At Age 42

Diff’rent Strokes child star Gary Coleman who rose to fame playing the character Arnold Jackson on the tv sitcom has died at the young age of 42. Coleman’s cause of death was a brain hemorrhage and he died at a hospital in Provo Utah. Coleman became ill at his home in Santaquin, Utah, on Wednesday evening and was then rushed to the hospital. He was known for his charm and one of his catch phrase lines “Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?” He was also recognized for his short stature, he only grew to be 4 foot 8 because of his nephritis, which is a kidney condition. Coleman had somewhat of a troubled adulthood in which he sued his parents for mismanagement and also had to file bankruptcy. He was also known for appearing on TV court shows and had run for governor of California. Coleman married 22 year old Shannon Price in 2007, but the couple had some rocky patches before even reaching their one year anniversary and he was seeking a divorce at the time of his death. Most of the headlines Coleman was making in the years before his death were generally bad news some of which included “Gary Coleman cited for disorderly conduct” (2007), “Gary Coleman in alleged bowling alley scuffle” (2008), “Gary Coleman charged with reckless driving” (2008), “Gary Coleman hospitalized for another seizure” (2010) and now this, so sad.
