Remembering Farrah Fawcett

On Friday June 25th, Farrah Fawcett’s family gathered together as it marked the first anniversary of her death. Farrah’s family and longtime friend Alana Stewart used the anniversary to dedicated a cancer research organization in her named called the Farrah Fawcett Foundation. Some of the other guest included Ryan O’Neal, Tatum O’Neal, and Redmond O’Neal. Redmond is her son who was able to get a day pass from sober living where he is currently undergoing drug rehab treatment. The 25 year old Redmond said “I saw my mom’s gravesite for the first time today,” and “I miss my mother so much. I’m glad she’s not suffering anymore. I know she’s looking down on us.” Her longtime friend Alana Stewart said “If I can help carry on Farrah’s mission for the foundation, it’s an honor for me. I feel almost like she’s a guardian angel watching over me, and I feel like she’s smiling down on us and very happy that she died for a cause. She felt that she could help a lot of people and she could give a lot of people inspiration, courage and hope. That’s why she did the documentary and that’s why she started the foundation.”
