Last night’s MTV Video Music Awards featured big wins by Lady Gaga who wore a meat dress and scored 8 VMA’s. She won for Best Female Video, Video Of The Year, Best Pop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Dance Music Video, Best Choreography, Best Direction, and Best Editing. It was her hit song Bad Romance that scored her award after award. Eminem also won two VMA’s for his hit song Not Afraid which were Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Video. Throughout the night we saw performances from Eminem who was joined by Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Usher, Drake, but the two most anticipated were by Kanye West and Taylor Swift. Remember from last year when Taylor Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video and Kanye got up on the stage grabbed the mic from her and said the award should have gone to Beyonce, well it seems the two both addressed the issue in their performances last night. Taylor performed her new song Stealing Innocence in which the lyrics say

Many believe she is addressing Kanye in the song and forgiving him. The lyrics set off quite a buzz on the internet with everyone searching for the age of Kanye West. He was born June 8, 1977 which makes him 33 now but 32 at the time he interrupted her on the stage and at which she most likely wrote the song. Later in the night Kanye performed a new song as well for the first time called Runaway and the lyrics say “Let’s have a toast for the douchebags,” he rapped. “Let’s have a toast for the a——s. Let’s have a toast for the scumbags. Let’s have a toast for the jerk—s. Baby, I got a plan. Runaway fast as you can.” It seems as though he is speaking of himself in the lyrics. The show was hosted by Chelsea Handler.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan 50, was in a car crash in which his 1995 jeep wrangler went over the side of Pacific Coast Highway rocky embankment landing on it’s roof yesterday at around 4:30 PM. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene. He had posted on his twitter account moments before the crash “After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!” He also posted a picture of his dog on his twitter. The dog was in the crash with him and was injured but survived. This is the image and last tweet he sent “Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune.”

Dr. Ryan had made headlines recently after performing 10 plastic surgeries in one day on reality star Heidi Montag. Some of his other celebrity clients include Janice Dickinson, Gene Simmons, Shauna Sand, Vince Neil and Adrianne Curry.

UPDATE: It is being reported that Dr. Frank Ryan was twittering that message on his phone which may have distracted him causing his jeep to go over the side of a cliff in Malibu. His cause of death is being reported as “blunt force trauma” to the head. This is a reminder that texting while driving is very dangerous.

Country singer and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood 27, married her hockey player boyfriend Mike Fisher 30, who plays for the Ottawa Senators in Georgia on Saturday. The ceremony was held at The Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. Security at the wedding was very tight and among some of the 250 guests there were some big names there which included Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul. Carrie wore Chantilly lace dress created for her by Monique Lhuillier. The couple reportedly left Sunday morning to go on a romantic honeymoon in a secret location. The couple plan to live in Nashville and in Peterborough, Ontario. Congrats!

Chely Wright who is a 39 year old country music singer has just come out of the closet. She explains in her new autobiography Like Me: Confessions of a Heartland Country Singer that she has known for a very long time and has been hiding her sexuality, so much so that it even brought her to the brink of suicide. She came under intense pressure when John Rich from country music duo Big and Rich asked her if she was gay. He said point blank ‘You’re not gay. If you are, people won’t have it. It’s sick, it’s deviant, it’s unacceptable to country-music fans.’ And he said, ‘You’re not, are you?’ At that point she lied and realized that she had gone from just not speaking about it to a liar. Of her recent revelations she says “a huge weight has been lifted. “It feels incredible.”

Carrie Underwood and her hockey player boyfriend Mike Fisher announced their engagement today Monday December 21. The two became engaged yesterday a rep for the singer confirms. “I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” the former American Idol’s rep told MTV News. “No wedding date has been set at this time.” Mike Fisher plays for the Ottawa Senators. Carrie had even mentioned her boyfriend in her hit song Play On “Thank you #12,” she wrote about Fisher, referring to his jersey number. “You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day. … xoxo, Carrie.” Carrie had spoke of the relationship being the longest one that she had ever had and that her and Fisher had managed to keep it out of the public eye. The two will not move in together until they are married. Congrats to them!

It does not come as much of a surpise but LeAnn Rimes took to her website to announce that her and husband Dean Sheremet will be divorcing. This announcement comes after months of speculation that her affair with actor Eddie Cibrian has broken up both of their marriages. Here is what she had to say on the website “After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage,” “This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another.”
