One of Hollywood’s favorite couples is now heading for divorce. Eva Longoria Parker 35, of ‘Desperate Housewives’ filed for divorce from husband Tony Parker 28, a point guard for the San Antonio Spurs. There is speculation that the marriage is ending because of Tony’s infidelities. Tony had been exchanging text messages with a mutual lady friend of the couple. An insider revealed “Eva is heartbroken by the betrayal,” says one insider, adding that her husband confessed to the inappropriateness – which took place for nearly a year – after she confronted him.” Another friend added “Once the trust was lost, the marriage was over. Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him,” adds the pal. “She’s inconsolable.” Eva filed the paperwork which states that she is seeking spousal support and she wants her last name restored to Longoria. This was the second marriage for Longoria she was also married to ‘General Hospital’ actor Tyler Christopher from 2002-04.

UPDATE: It is being reported by Radaronline that the woman in the middle of the Tony Parker and Eva Longoria divorce is Erin Barry whom is the wife of Tony’s former teammate Brent Barry. The two couples had been close friends and it is being reported that the Barry’s are also going through a divorce. Erin Barry was asked by another media outlet to respond to the claims and she was crying and said “no comment.”

Prince William proposed last month in Kenya to his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton. He gave her the same ring that his father Charles, the Prince of Wales, had given his mother Princess Diana back in February 1981. The ring is a blue sapphire with smaller diamonds surrounding it. The Royals officially announced the news on Tuesday and a spokesperson for Prince Charles said they are “delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton.” The couple are both 28 years old. The wedding is expected to happen next Spring or Summer and be equivalent to the size of the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

As I am sure you all know all 33 of the miners trapped in the San Jose copper-gold mine near Copiapó, Chile have been rescued. The mine collapsed on August 5, leaving the men trapped 2,300 feet underground. The miners were able to survive 69 days underground and deserve a great deal of credit for their own survival. They were able to ration the two days worth of food they had with them for 17 days when rescuers found out that 33 of them were alive. Luis Alberto Urzúa 54, was the shift supervisor and realized the severity of the situation after the collapse and knew that a rescue would be very difficult. He gathered the men in a small room called the “refuge” and organized the men and their resources for a long time survival situation. Urzúa also led the rescue operation approaches with surface engineers and was the last miner to be rescued. Most of the miners are in surprisingly good health although there were many concerns about their eye conditions after weeks of no sunlight. Some are being treated for illnesses ranging from an ulcerated retina to pneumonia to skin conditions related to the humid mine conditions. Other key members are Yonni Barrios 50, who was nicknamed “Dr. House” and put in charge of the miners health by administering vaccines and reported to the surface the overall health of the miners. Mario Gómez 63, organized a chapel and became their religious leader and would report to and aid the psychologists on the surface. Mario Sepúlveda 40, was in charge of the video journals sent to the surface that reassured the world that they were doing well. This marks a historic day in Chile’s history. The rescue was the deepest rescue ever and the longest time for survivors to be found and successfully rescued.

Pop star Christina Aquilera 29, has split from her husband Jordan Bratman 33, after over 4 years of marriage. The couple would have celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on November 19. It is being reported that the couple who have a son two year old son together named Max realized over the last six months that their relationship has become more of a friendship. They are living seperate lives and have not filed for divorce yet. Christina made a public announcement saying “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.” The two met in 2002 while Bratman was working for Azoff Music Management, Aguilera’s managers.
UPDATE: On Thursday October 14, 2010 Aguilera filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. According to the divorce documents there is a prenup and the petition asks that “Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation” be considered separate property. Sources close to the couple are saying that it was Christina who cheated on Jordan.

British journalist Piers Morgan will be taking Larry King’s spot on Larry King Live. King announced in June that he would be departing the show. The network announced on Wednesday that Morgan best known for being a judge on “America’s Got Talent” and the winner of “Celebrity Apprentice” will be the new host of the show. In a recent interview Morgan said “I have watched Larry King Live for much of the last 25 years, and dreamed of one day filling the legendary suspenders of the man I consider to be the greatest TV interviewer of them all.”

Famous DJ Samantha Ronson also known as being long time girlfriend to Lyndsay Lohan took to her twitter account yesterday to say “I feel incredibly sad and wish I could offer more than condolences, unfortunately there are no words to describe how sorry I am.” She is referring to the dog attack that happened yesterday at her L.A. apartment that involved her Bulldog named Cadillac and a small three pound Maltese named Tiger. The incident occurred in the hallway of the apartment building and Tiger died as a result of the injuries. A 911 call was made claiming that Tiger and Tiger’s owner were attacked by a “pit bull.” The dog that attacked was Cadillac the Bulldog.

Elin Nordegren gave an interview to People magazine. It is the first time she has decided to speak out following the scandal with Tiger in which he admitted to his infidelities. The interview comes two days after the divorce between Elin and Tiger was finalized. Elin said this is the first and last interview she will be giving regarding the scandal as she would still like to maintain her privacy. In the interview Elin says “I never suspected, not a one,” she told the magazine of the multiple affairs. “For the last 3 and a half years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school.” She went on to say “I felt stupid as more things were revealed — how could I not have known anything?” and that “The word ‘betrayal’ isn’t strong enough. I felt embarrassed for having been so deceived. I felt betrayed by many people around me.” Elin went on to say “I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children. I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions and myself.” When speaking about the car crash that began the whole scandal she said, “There was never any violence inside or outside our home. The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous. Tiger left the house that night, and after a while when he didn’t return, I got worried and decided to look for him. That’s when I found him in the car. I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car. To think anything else is absolutely wrong.” Elin 30, spoke of where her life is headed from here on saying that her “immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation” and that she’s “going to keep taking classes, but [her] main focus is to try to… heal.” She is currently working on a degree in Psychology. Elin even had kind words about her ex husband Tiger saying, “I wish him all the best in the future, as a person and as an athlete,” Nordegren said. “I know he is going to go down as the best golfer that ever lived, and rightfully so. I feel privileged to have witnessed a part of his golfing career.”

Young comedian Whitney Cummings new one hour show debut was August 21 on Comedy Central called “Whitney Cummings: Money Shot.” At the Young Hollywood Awards she has already won “Comedian of the Year” and Entertainment Weekly as named her ‘Comedy Star of Tomorrow.’ Cummings is an American actress and comedian who started out on MTV’s Punk’d. She also had a role in the movie Made of Honor. She also recently made headlines when she appeared on the Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff where she made fun of everybody a little bit. She currently is on tour with Denis Leary and the Rescue Me Comedy Tour to promote the show’s 6th season.

The divorce of pro golfer Tiger Woods and wife Elin is final. The couple had been going through a rough time since is now famous car crash in November of 2009 which started the revelations of his extra marital affairs. The golfer publicly admitted his infidelities which included many women. The settlement was not made public but the media has been saying Elin would receive up to 100 million in the settlement. The couple released a pubic statement saying “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us. Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.” The couple will share custody of the two children Sam Alexis, 3, and Charlie Axel, 18 months. The news comes as no surprise as the couple had already been living separate lives for months. The divorce papers state the marriage was “irretrievably broken”. Elin asked that her name be restored to her maiden name Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren.

A woman in the UK was caught on a surveillance video walking up to a stray cat and petting it. She then looks around a bit a throws the cat into a garbage bin. The cat was reportedly found 15 hours later and is surprisingly doing okay. How awful, I hope they catch that woman!

UPDATE: Mean cat woman has been identified as Mary Bale a middle aged bank worker. Since Bale has been identified she is under police protection and they are guarding her door as thousands of facebook users are showing her how upset they are over her actions towards Lola the four year old cat. Ms. Bale’s mother Celia has spoke out saying that her daughter is a “cat lover” and that she “did not know what came over her.” She also stated that Mary is “distraught” over what she has done and ‘Her father Maurice is hospital in the moment and is very ill. I think she was just in a world of her own. We all are at the moment.
‘Mary said she just didn’t know was possessed her, or what came over her, it’s just very strange because she cannot explain her actions at all.
‘We’re all living on edge at moment, she doesn’t know what happened.
‘She absolutely adores cats, she’s an animal lover, it just doesn’t make sense.
‘We’re just hoping we can all get through this because I know a lot of people are not happy about it.
‘If she didn’t have to work then think she might keep animals herself – but that wouldn’t be fair to the animals.
‘I know that sounds ironic considering what has happened but she does love cats.’

Hitting newsstands today is the new issue of Rolling Stones featuring the naked and blood covered Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard, and Stephen Moyer of the hit HBO show True Blood. The controversial covering is grabbing headlines because some believe it is too racy. This is not the first cover of Rolling Stones magazine that has had nudity though. Christina Aguilera was on the cover with a pair of boots a guitar and nothing else and recently Lady Gaga appeared on the cover mostly naked as well. I wonder if this cover is getting all the heat because of the fake blood splattered all over the characters. Either way this cover will be one of the greatest moments in Rolling Stones long nude history.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan 50, was in a car crash in which his 1995 jeep wrangler went over the side of Pacific Coast Highway rocky embankment landing on it’s roof yesterday at around 4:30 PM. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene. He had posted on his twitter account moments before the crash “After 25 years of driving by, I finally hiked to the top of the giant sand dune on the pch west of Malibu. Much harder than it looks! Whew!” He also posted a picture of his dog on his twitter. The dog was in the crash with him and was injured but survived. This is the image and last tweet he sent “Border collie jill surveying the view from atop the sand dune.”

Dr. Ryan had made headlines recently after performing 10 plastic surgeries in one day on reality star Heidi Montag. Some of his other celebrity clients include Janice Dickinson, Gene Simmons, Shauna Sand, Vince Neil and Adrianne Curry.

UPDATE: It is being reported that Dr. Frank Ryan was twittering that message on his phone which may have distracted him causing his jeep to go over the side of a cliff in Malibu. His cause of death is being reported as “blunt force trauma” to the head. This is a reminder that texting while driving is very dangerous.

Philip Markoff 24, was found dead in his jail cell at 10:15 a.m. Sunday in Boston’s Nashua Street Jail where he was being held awaiting trial. Markoff was accused of being the Craigslist Killer famously named that because the killer met the women on the popular website Craigslist in the erotic section. He was suspected in three robberies that took place in Massachusetts and Rhode Island of three women one of which wound up dead. Markoff had plead not guilty to charges that in April he lured masseuse Julissa Brisman, 25, to a Boston hotel, then bound her, beat her and fatally shot her. At the time of his arrest he was a second year medical student at Boston University School of Medicine. A former English teacher described Markoff as “a good student and just a really nice kid. Smart, wanting to succeed, nothing strange, nothing out of the ordinary.” At the time of his arrest he was also engaged to be married to Megan McAllister and their wedding was planned for August 14, 2009. At the time of his arrest McAllister believed in his innocence and described him as “beautiful inside and out” and stated that he “couldn’t hurt a fly.” However though on April 29 she visited him in jail to tell him the wedding plans were “dismantled” and then when she visited him again on June 11, 2009 she told him it would be “a long period of time, if ever, before she would see him again.” He died exactly one year and one day after his planned wedding date.

In the September issue of Lucky Magazine Jessica Simpson the 30 year old singer and reality star says that she is at peace with her full figure and curves. Simpson is also quoted saying “We all obsess over looking like the perfect Barbie type, and that’s not always what’s beautiful. It’s about making peace with yourself.” The controversy surrounding the cover photo is that it is very obvious that Simpson has been airbrushed and appears about 10 to 20 lbs thinner than she really is. In the picture on the cover and inside the magazine it looks as if her head is disproportionate to her body. One Lucky magazine reader is quoted as saying “While I appreciate the comments [Jessica Simpson] makes about loving and accepting her body, I would find them more believable if she did not allow the magazine to airbrush her until her body looks nothing like the ‘real’ Jessica. These are the ways we could actually induce change rather than just giving it lip service. The body in these pictures is NOT the body we see in candid shots. I doubt it could hold up the head on top of it in real life. Come on Jessica!! Take a REAL stand!”

The airline industry is making headlines after Jet Blue flight attendant Steven Slater cursed out a passenger, grabbed a few beers, and then exited the plane by using the emergency slide. Many on the internet are saying that he is a hero and “did what everyone always wanted to do but never did.” He sure chose a dramatic fashion to quit his job after he was fed up with a passenger who had hit him in the head while getting luggage out of the overhead bin. Some of the passengers on the plane reported seeing a gash on his head. At the end of the flight he used the PA system to unleash some curse words before exiting the plane via the chute and New York’s JFK International Airport. Other flight attendants and passengers think he is a hero and that he was standing up for abuse against flight attendants. It is being reported that Slater was a 20-year airline veteran and he is now facing criminal charges including two counts of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. Jet Blue airways says that at no time were any passengers or crew members in danger from the incident.
