British singer Leona Lewis was punched in the today at a signing of her new book in London. She was signing copies of her autobiography “Dreams” when a man from the line came up and hit her in the head. He was immediately led away by security guards and later arrested. The attack was said to be totally “unprovoked” and an “understandably badly shaken” Lewis went to see a doctor after the incident as a precaution. Leona Lewis became famous when she won the “X Factor” reality show in 2006 and in 2008 became the first British woman to top the US charts for more than 20 years with her single “Bleeding Love”. The 29 year old man who hit her is still in custody.

The death of DJ AM has been ruled as an accidental overdose by the Medical Examiner’s office. He was found dead in his New York apartment August 28 with numerous drugs in his system that included cocaine, Levamisole (a drug commonly used to cut cocaine), oxycodone (the active ingredient in OxyContin), hydrocodone (a powerful pain reliever), and Ativan, Klonapin and Xanax, all anti-anxiety drugs. DJ AM had started taking anti-anxiety drugs as a result of his fear of flying following the plane crash that he and friend Travis Barker survived.

It is being reported that Christina Milian and rapper boyfriend The Dream married last week in Las Vegas. They married at the same chapel as Britney Spears and Jason Alexander back in 2004, The Little White Wedding Chapel. According to the marriage license the couple said “I Do” at 12:00a.m. Christina rented a wedding gown for $200 and he rented his tux for $100. Congrats to the happy couple!

The funeral of DJ AM 36, was held yesterday September 02, 2009 in Los Angeles. It was a small funeral attended by family members, close friend Travis Barker and girlfriend at the time of his death Hayley Wood.  The private ceremony was held at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in West Los Angeles.  AM is buried in one of the cities most prominent Jewish cemeteries near the graves of Jack Benny, Milton Berle, and Michael Landon. A memorial service for friends and family will be held today at the Hollywood Palladium. The cause of death will still not be known for a couple of weeks.

A private memorial for DJ AM born Adam Goldstein is set to be on Thursday night in Los Angeles. It will be held in the kind of nightclub that the disc jockey regularly rocked. The memorial will begin at 7:00p.m. at the Hollywood Palladium, the same place where DJ AM played alongside his admirer Jay Z in his first performance since his plane crash. Instead of sending flowers, AM’s family suggests donating to two of his favorite charities. They include National MS Society, Southern California Chapter, or Friendly House. Friendly House is a drug treatment center for women and DJ AM’s used to show up at their luncheons. Rest In Peace DJ AM.

DJ AM whose real name is Adam Goldstein has died at the age of 36. DJ AM is best known for being in the rockband Crazy Town, and their hit “Butterfly”, he also scratched albums for  Papa Roach, Madonna, Will Smith, and Shifty and played concerts with Jay-Z. Adam also played private parties for many celebrities and had a one year contract with Pure Night Club in Las Vegas. DJ AM and Travis Barker also survived a plane crash just less than a year ago where four people died. He was found today in his New York City apartment shirtless with sweats on face down after a friend went to check on him because he hadn’t been heard from for a few days. Some prescription pills and a “crack pipe” were also found in the apartment. He had recently broken up with his girlfriend and sources say he was devastated over the split. DJ AM also suffered from post traumatic stress following the plane crash. Details on the cause of death have not yet been released. This is such a sad and tragic story.

Chris Brown was formally sentenced today August 25,2009 in a Los Angeles courtroom. He will have to do 180 days of community labor, one year of domestic abuse counseling and also five years of probation. During the next five years he must also stay away from Rihanna, despite Rihanna wanting the restraining order lifted the judge chose to keep it in place. The judge also insenuated that she had heard of the possiblity that him and Rihanna had secret meetings and then asked him if he understood that he will have to stay 100 yards from Rihanna or if they are attending the same entertainment event he must be 10 yards away from her, Chris replied “yes” that he understood the restraining order. He will be allowed to do his community labor and domestic abuse counseling in his homestate of Virginia. In the courtroom he wore a dark pin striped suit and remained stern throughout. He will also have to pay a number of fees and fines and may be subjected to random search and seizures. Do you think this sentencing is severe enough?
