Paula Abdul Will Not Return To American Idol

Paula Abdul will not return to Season 9 of American Idol. She took to her twitter account on Tuesday saying "With sadness in my heart, I've decided not to return to Idol I'll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of show that I helped from day 1 become an intertnational phenomenom." Kara DioGuardi has renewed her contract and is returning. It looks like the judges table will be back down to three again after this sad news of Paula leaving. Paula was demanding a substantial pay increase and Fox chose not to grant it to her.

I love her,for me she is like a good mother for all contestant,if she is replaced I doubt there is any female can replace her motherly expression to the game

I know I am so sad that Paula will no longer be on the show. I agree that she cannot be replaced on the show and they made a big mistake by not renewing her contract. Did you know that Ellen DeGeneres will be the new judge? Do you like her and think she will do well? I really like Ellen as a comedian and talk show host but I don't really understand how she is qualified to be a judge in a singing competition.
