Last night's episode was so good yet so sad at the same time. It starts out by Eli Scruggs, who is the handyman in the neighborhood announcing his retirement and plans to go on a vacation to Hawaii by putting a letter in everyones mailbox. He is well known on Wisteria Lane and very well liked. He had decided to retire because his dr. had told him that he has a bad heart. His last job he performs is fixing a shingle on top of Susan's roof when he unexpectedly drops dead of a heart attack and isn't discovered until Gabbi's daughter sees him on the roof. All of the women of Wisteria Lane are very saddened by the unexpected death and then the show goes on to flashbacks of all of the ways that Eli has helped each one of them differently. He had helped Susan by telling her she is one of the strongest people he knows to have endured the setbacks of love in her life. He helped Bree when her husband Rex died by giving her an old notebook that she had started as a possible cookbook. Gabbie was new to the neighborhood when Eli introduced him to the other women of Wisteria Lane and helped her to make friends. Mary Alice was the first person he came across and he was there right before she committed suicide. He also helped Edie when her husband decided he was gay after two years of marriage. While Mary Alice was going to committ suicide it showed that note that said "I know what you did it makes me sick i'm going to tell everyone" I think at one point I knew what that letter meant but I can't remember. Does anyone remember? The show ends with Eli's funeral :(

I think I liked that episode of Desperate Housewives the best. I did cry in a few spots during the show. El Scruggs (what a man!!) was played by Beau Bridges. I love Beau Bridges and his acting abilities. He has played in numerous movies through out his acting career. I haven't seen him in anything lately, so when I started watching Desperate Housewives that night and saw him at the starting of the show, I thought, whoa, this is going to be a good show tonight. And it was :!:

Yes I agree! Although I did not actually know his real name thank you for that! I havent' seen him before i'm sure he has been in some movies though, I probably just have not seen them before. That episode of Desperate Housewives was for sure one of my all time favorites and I have been watching the show since the beginning. It just seemed like a real heartfelt episode and quite a tear jerker, but in a good way. It was the kind of show that makes you really realize how precious life is and to not take each day for granted. Also makes you feel you should let the people in your life know how much they mean to you :D Absolutely loved this episode!

Hopefully they can have more flashbacks of Eli Scruggs through Bree, Gabbi, Susan, Lynette, and Edie. I heard that Edie - Nicollette Sheridan - is leaving the show? Does anyone know more info on that?

I read an article that was posted on February 11, that said that she is leaving the show. I guess that her rep has confirmed it. The show's creator Marc Cherry said that "Her character will be crossing a moral boundary that will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane."

Oh, wow... I didn't know that. Whoa, I wonder what's going to happen. Will that happen at the end of this season? Maybe she really gets into a heated arugement with her crazy husband, and he kills her??????????? I forgot what her husbands name is.

Her husband's name is Dave Williams. You are probably right, he seems very dangerous. I still haven't figured out exactly what his plan is, I'm pretty sure that Mike is his target because of the car accident involving Mike that killed his wife and daughter. I don't believe Dave really even cares for Edie that much he is just using her to get closer to Mike, so him ending up hurting Edie very well may be the case. The article I read unfortunately did not confirm when or in what season Edie would be leaving the show.

Edie is already starting to question some things about her husband, Dave. Remember when Edie kept hearing a beep or noise in their bedroom, I think they were in the bedroom, and Dave got her out of the room quickly, then he went and answered the doctors cell phone in the brief case that was in the closet. And Edie caught Dave talking to himself that time when he was sitting at the table. Maybe Edie is becoming a threat to Dave, before he has the chance to do Mike in... so he has to shut her up somehow!! lol.

Oh yeah I had forgotten that! Maybe she catches him doing something and is about to rat him out and he ends up killing her like he killed that Doctor who came to find him the night he ended up burning the club down!

Yeah, maybe. Wouldn't that be something, watching Dave kill Edie...oh my gosh!!! Maybe he will strangle her to death, slowly.

Yep, it sure would. Or maybe Dave and Edie get into a big fight because of all she figures out, and Dave gets rough with her, and Edie finally gets away from him, runs out the door, gets into her car, and Dave runs in front of her car to stop her, but she doesn't stop because she is so frightened, and she runs over him, and crashes into the telephone pole, and they are "both" killed, just like that!! :o

Wow! Very well could happen, wouldn't that be so weird if you had predicted it exactly! I could see Dave's character leaving the show too after this season.

I am sure my prediction is wrong, because now that I think about it, it sounds pretty stupid. The producers will come up with something that will, for sure, stun all of us Desperate Housewives fans.

Desperate Housewives seems to always have a story behind a story and you have to watch and watch to reveal what happened in the past. I like it though I think it was keeps me watching. I mean since the season started we are 5 years in the future, so what have we missed in the last 5 years. I wonder what will happen next season?? Will it go back in time?
