Today is the day that all televisions nationwide will no longer be broadcast in analog. This means that if you have an analog tv and you have not gotten the converter boxes you will be left without service by the end of the day. It is estimated that about 1 million people needing the boxes still have not gotten them. This is great news for digital technology. You should probably call your grandparents and ask them about their television, then help them out if they are needing the box.

Many people are very confused by the switch that took place on Friday. About 800,000 phone calls were made to federal hot lines regarding the switch and confusion.

Quote:
"Up to now, it's been people wanting the equipment," said Judith Criado, the director of education at the center. "Today, everyone who has called has the equipment but they just don't know how to actually see the channels."

Patch Quilt Network, it's the channel old people watch when they start making patch quilts.
I know what you're thinking, you're thinking that that rainbow screen on her TV is the Emergency Broadcast Network test.
I thought the same thing, It's actually a close up view of a patch quilt though. Granny had to explain the whole patch quilt thing to me to.

I'm still wondering if this DTV switch had anything to do with why a few of my channels went black for a few days prior to the switch. I haven't seen any of them black out since the switch though.
