In the Miss USA pageant first runner up Carrie Prejean (Miss California) was asked a question from judge Perez Hilton. She was asked about legalizing same sex marriage. Perez Hilton is a well known celebrity blogger and is also gay. This was her answer.

Quote:
"I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there. But that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be,"

After hearing her answer Perez was visibly upset and there was a mixture of applauding and booing from the audience. Many believe that this answer cost her the crown which was then given to Miss North Carolina, Kristen Dalton. Carrie realizes that her answer did cost her the crown but she is standing by it and says she wouldn't have answered the question any differently. She said she was true to herself and that is all she can do. Perez has since gone on to say that her answer was offensive and politically insensitive.

What does gay marriage have to do with being Miss America ?

Hi, I know you have no political influence whatsoever but I want to put you on the spot and make you look like a shmuck anyway so I'm ging to ask.

Yeah he's right. Next time she should just keep her lifestyle and the things she was raised to believe to herself so she doesn't offend anyone.

Better yet maybe she should be gay (giggity giggity giggity) so she has a license to push her beliefs on everyone else.

Yeah I am thinking that she shouldn't have been asked that question anyhow.

I just read an article that Shanna Moakler who is co director of the Miss California organization has confirmed that the organization paid for Miss Carrie Prejean's breast implants just weeks before she competed in the pageant. Here is what Shanna had to say about it,

"Breast implants in pageants is not a rarity. It’s definitely not taboo. It’s very common. Breast implants today among young women today is very common. I don’t personally have them, but you know — they are," she added.

Miss California 2009 will be able to keep her title despite all of the recent controversy surrounding her including her views on same sex marriage and the semi nude photos that have popped up on the internet of her. This decision has been made by Donald Trump.

Quote:
"She gave a very honest answer when asked a tough question," Trump, a co-owner of the pageant, said Tuesday at a New York press conference with Prejean sitting at his side, reports the Los Angeles Times. "It was the same answer the president of the United States gave ... She has to be commended." "We are in the 21st century. We have determined that the pictures taken were fine."
