Kiefer Sutherland Charged With Assault

Kiefer Sutherland has been charged with a misdemeanor assault. The actor head butted fashion designer Jack McCollough at a Manhattan nightclub. Sutherland was interviewed, given a ticket, and will have to appear in court on June 22. You may also remember just recently Sutherland served 48 days in jail on a drunk and driving charge in 2007.

"Mr. McCollough suffered a broken nose in three places as a result of the assault," his rep told PEOPLE exclusively on Friday, refuting reports that the designer merely got scratches on his nose. "He received medical treatment last night after consulting with physicians."
Kiefer is quoted as saying this
