Natasha Richardson Ski Accident

So sad! I heard that she fell while skiing on the bunny hills in Canada, and got up from her fall laughing, went back to her hotel room and said she did not feel well. I guess they took her to the hospital and they are saying she is officaly brain dead. So sad! She is married and has two sons and is only 45. She was in the parent trap and maid and manhatten. Her husband is Liam Neeson.

Yeah I read that. It is just so weird that she was fine for an hour after the accident. She was at Mont Tremblant, when the accident occured. Apparently she was with an experienced ski instructor and no one knows what she hit her head on. I guess there was no blood and she was not taken out on a stretcher but an hour after the accident she began complaining of a headache. So sad, I will pray for her family.

Yeah I read that she did not hit anything or another person so it weird that she can have such a bad brain injury. It makes you realize that skiing and snowboarding can be very dangerous. I imagine someday it will be required to wear a helmet just like it is in some areas when riding a bicycle. I hope she can recover and is not brain dead. I will update if I hear any more details.

Wow now tmz is reporting that she is suffering from brain swelling but not brain dead, we now have some hope that she will be ok!

i read that she is going to be taken off life support.

fox news is reporting that richardson is being transported back to New York City before she is to be taken off life support. that is so so sad. i cant believe it. such a sad accident!

A statement from Natasha's family is expected tomorrow, Wednesday.

All day I have been hearing conflicting reports. So does that mean that she is brain dead? What a freak accident.

I agree with you all, what a sad and terrifying story. I agree, javahotti... it should be a law requiring all skiers and snowboarders and whatever else they do up there on the ski slopes...to wear a helmet!!
I heard on the nightly news a few minutes ago that she was in critical condition.

Yes it is so sad. I just read on people today that she is in fact brain dead and that people have pretty much given up hope. I read there is a "leakage of blood between the brain and skull," and that the family will probably have to make the decision to take her off life support

natash richardson has died in a ny hospital. such a sad day and a very freak accident.

I just read that the coroner's office ruled her death as a blunt impact to the head resulting from an accident which caused bleeding. This conclusion comes after an autopsy was performed though no one still knows exactly what it is that she struck her head on.
