Hello, so yesterday I went to the top grossing film currently in theatres called "Taken". I thought it was a really good movie that kept my interest from beginning to end. It is about a dad who has a 17 year old daughter, Kim and he has recently retired from his government job to be closer to her and try to have a better relationship with her. He finds himself competing for her attention with her mother and her mother's husband who is very wealthy. Kim and her friend Amanda want to take a trip to Paris to follow around a band on their tour. Since Kim is only 17 she needs a signature from her dad as well as mom to leave the country. He is very reluctant to let her go, he believes it will be dangerous but eventually gives in and signs for her. I won't spoil the movie but the rest goes on to explain what happens when Kim and Amanda arrive in Paris and the trouble they run into. The father is the only one who can get them out with his training he had received while working for the government.

That guy's a badass!

I was ready to watch the movie after the "What I do have is a very particular set of skills, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you" line in the preview.

Yeah his name is Liam Neeson and I thought he did a great job in that movie. Did you know that his wife Natasha Richardson just passed away the other day from a skiing accident which caused a head injury. She was only 45, how sad.

Ohhhh... That was Liam's wife!? Oh wow. That's so sad. I just saw Taken last night. I loved Liam's character! Good movie.

I specialy like that kind of movie. I mean the plot where a father takes care of things. Remind me the name of a similar film whit Mel Gibson where is son is kidnapped for ransom.

Oh yeah that was a good movie too, the name of it was actually "Ransom"

We watched this last nite after about half a bottle of rum. Definately going to have to watch it again before a bottle of rum.

The parts I remember, were really good.
