Chris Brown Pleads Not Guilty

Chris Brown pleaded not guilty in a Los Angeles courtroom on Monday. He is facing two felony charges of assault and criminal threats in the alleged beating of his girlfriend Rihanna. In court he looked very somber wearing mostly black and his mother was in the courtroom with him.

Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, said that they are awaiting review of more evidence in the case. Rihanna was not required to be there and reports have said she is lying low in Barbados.
