Hi everybody, sorry that I have been gone for so long :( I just got back from my wonderful honeymoon at Sandals Grande St. Lucia! It was absolutely wonderful and the weather was so nice. It is an all inclusive resort meaning once you get there you don't pay for a thing. Everyday our mini fridge was restocked with champagne, beer, wine, and liquor. There were like 6 restaurants on the resort and multiple bars as well. My favorite was the swim-up bar at the main pool. You just sit in the pool and drink your cocktail and the drinks they made were really good. One of my favorites was the BBC (Banana Berry and Coconut)! The restaurants were really good as well. St. Lucia is an absolutely beautiful island. The only negatives are the taxi rides are kinda scarey because well they drive on the opposite side of the road as they do in my country which took some getting used too and they drive really fast on two lane roads and pass each other and stuff. Also the locals just run out in the road and walk along the side as if they kind of have a disregard for their lives. The airport was a little scarey too. We were all out on the runway waiting to board the plane and a small jet fired its engine to begin moving for take off, well this blew hot air and major gas fumes at all of us and I had to cover my face in my coat just to breathe, I couldn't believe they would let this happen. This kind of thing would absolutely never happen in the U.S. I also took a helicopter ride when I was there and it was a really good way to get to see the island. I did not know that many of the bananas we get all come from St. Lucia and it was really cool too see all the banana plantations from up in the air. I hope for me and my husband to return again there someday and I strongly recommend the Grande as a great honeymoon vacation :)

Yeah it was really fun there. Seeing that picture makes me want to go back. The weather he is completely opposite. While we were there temperatures were low to mid 80s during the day and upper 70s at night and very humid. It felt as warm or warmer than the nicest days in the summer in the Seattle area. The ocean was warmer than their pools there. I had alot of fun, the only part I did not like was how long it took to get there and all of the hassels around the traveling part. Outside the resort its definetely a bit more scary as they drive crazy. Places here that would be normally 25mph were probably about 50 there and people would still be walking on the side of the road right next to this crazyness.

What kinds of things did you guys do there for fun? Did you go snorkeling? I'm jealous about the helicopter ride! I've never been in a helicopter! Was it different than flying in an airplane?

No we did not go snorkeling, we thought about it but we were just so busy relaxing and swimming all day. We wanted to just be lazy, besides I am kind of afraid of the ocean. I was a bit of a baby about actually swimming in it I am afraid of like a fishing touching my leg or stepping on a crab or something so I stuck to the swimming pools! The helicopter ride was really cool it was the first time I was ever in one. I thought that it felt different from being in a small plane, the helicopter seemed to be more controlled and easy to take off and land and stuff, it was really cool! This is what I mean by the crab thing, I am posting an image of a crab that we saw in our swim up pool, luckily it was the last day we were there though thank god I had not seen him earlier or i would have refused to swim!
