The season was full of surprises and some very shocking eliminations. Jennifer Grey took home the mirror ball trophy last night and became the 11th winner of Dancing With the Stars. Tuesday’s finale was a very interesting one when the final three were down to Bristol Palin, Kyle Massey, and Jennifer Grey. Some people thought that with Palin’s fan base she could win it even though she was not the best dancer of the three. Grey 50, broke down in tears as her partner Derek Hough jumped up and down after the win was announced. She had suffered a slipped disc and danced through the pain on Tuesday night. Kyle Massey 19, came in second place and Bristol Palin 20, finished in third place. The win was a third for dance pro Derek Hough who also won with partners Nicole Scherzinger and Brooke Burke.

Season 7 champion of “Dancing With the Stars” has been named as the new co host after Samantha Harris decided to leave the show in January to pursue other gigs. The announcement came this morning on “Good Morning America”. Fans of the show may remember season 7 when her and her partner Derek Hough took home the Mirrorball trophy. Brooke Burke is a mother of four and you may have also seen her on E!’s “Wild On!” series, “Rock Star: INXS” and, most recently, TV Land’s “She’s Got the Look.” It was rumored that she was up against former DWTS contestant Melissa Rycroft and Vanessa Minnillo.
